Staff: Michelle Porter, DPT (joint ownership with Rodney and Amy Goble)
Michelle R. Porter, DPT graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science as well as a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. Education and teaching are at the forefront of Michelle’s clinical practice. Michelle strongly believes continued education is paramount to providing quality treatment and has attended multiple continuing education courses with focus on manual therapy techniques. In addition to attending continuing education, Michelle holds an adjunct Lecturer position at the University of Michigan where she teaches Gross Anatomy and Biology within the Physical Therapy and Biology Departments.
Michelle began her clinical practice specializing in chronic neck and back pain within a spine care clinic. She also has 6 years experience in the treatment of neuromuscular and orthopedic disorders including spinal cord, traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson’s Disease and a variety of orthopedic conditions. Michelle is certified in LSVT Big Protocol for Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. Her vast experience allows Michelle to incorporate multiple treatment approaches to reduce pain and maximize a patient’s function. Patients receive an individualized treatment plan combining manual therapy, functional exercises and patient education to reach their goals.
Michelle is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
